Sosta Tre SantiCarricante Brut

From selected Carricante grapes, grown at high altitudes on volcanic soils, this classic method Brut is born, which remains in aging on the lees in the bottle for at least 20 months. The delicate perlage, the elegance of the aromas, its great freshness and minerality make it an excellent sparkling wine to drink both as an aperitif and throughout the meal.

Nerello Mascalese grapes, raised at high altitudes on volcanic soils, are the ideal base for the production of the classic method. Etna DOC Brut Sosta Tre Santi is the result of a long and careful production process. At least 30 months of aging on the lees in the bottle are required to produce a sparkling wine capable of representing, in an authentic way, the unique characteristics of Nerello and of the Etna “terroir”.

The extraordinary versatility of Nerello Mascalese also allows the production of classic method rosé sparkling wines of absolute excellence. Like the Sosta Tre Santi Etna Rosato Brut, produced with selected grapes from the high lava terraces of the south-eastern side of the volcano. After about 20 months of aging on the lees, the result is a rosé with an intense and brilliant color and a soft and persistent perlage, of great freshness and flavor, with a wide aromatic range that ranges from floral to fruity, from honeyed notes to sweet spices .

Sosta Tre SantiEtna Extra Brut Sessantamesi

Released for the first time in 2018, in a limited edition celebrating the 120th anniversary of Cantine Nicosia, this Extra Brut sparkling wine from Nerello Mascalese grapes carries out – hence the name “Sessantamesi” – 5 years of aging on the lees in the bottle. A much longer maturation period than that provided for by the Etna DOC disciplinary, capable of giving a taste-olfactory profile of great complexity and elegance to a classic method with a unique personality.
